Is your head spinning yet? With blogs, websites and daily email newsletters; it seems, all the more lately, about the time your eyes come to rest there is another announcement. Whether it is an announcement on avionics, proposed aviation legislation, Very Light Jet (VLJ) updates, rumored Cessna Citation/Mustang changes, HondaJet or Diamond D-Jet.
As a follow up to the ongoing chatter regarding ATC and Potomac Approach; take note of the recent announcements from aircraft manufacturers, HondaJet and Diamond.
The London Ontario, Canada based company, Diamond, has suspended development of the Diamond D-Jet. I am sure for more reasons than one, Diamond was waiting to receive a loan from the Canadian government. Apparently, they have yet to receive any funds and have begun laying off employees and halted development.
On the other hand, in spite of trials and tribulations, Honda Aircraft Company is making news as well with their HondaJet. They are continuing to move forward with their plant at the Piedmont Triad International Airport in Greensboro, NC. Talk about job creation. This is just one more reason to see more ACC basketball games too.
