Cirrus Going Global?

In a recent press release by Cirrus Aircraft, the announcement was made that they have “entered into a definitave merger agreement  pursuant to which CAIGA would acquire Cirrus”.  The China Aviation Industry General Aircraft Co., Ltd. is headquartered in Zhuhai in the Guangdong Province of China and is a major provider of general aircraft products and related services.  Many questions surround this announcement such as; is this a merger or an acquisition?  How will this effect current Cirrus owners?  What will happen with the Cirrus jet and the deposits already placed by various hopeful owners?

Those with names such as Wouters and Klapmeier seem to think this transition will be nothing but positive, however, others in the industry have their doubts.  Time will tell and we will be watching.
